Day 1
Marrakech to the High Atlas and Ouarzazate
Your 5 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga begins in the morning as you settle into your comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. We will climb the winding roads of the High Atlas Mountains and stop for stunning photos at the Tizi n Tichka pass.
In the afternoon, we explore the spectacular Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its appearance in epic movies like Gladiator. We will then head to the cinematic city of Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa, where you will enjoy a delicious dinner and spend your first night in a beautiful local riad.
Day 2
Ouarzazate to Skoura Palm Grove to Dades Valley
After a fresh breakfast, we journey along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Our first major stop is the lush Skoura palm grove, where hidden historic kasbahs sit among thousands of palm trees.
We will then visit the fragrant Valley of the Roses, famous for its colorful spring blooms and natural rose water. By the afternoon, we arrive in the stunning Dades Valley. You will enjoy a peaceful walk along the river before we continue our drive south through palm-filled oases. By the late afternoon, we reach Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara.
Here, you will trade your car for a camel and trek deep into the golden Erg Chebbi dunes just in time for a breathtaking sunset. Your destination is a beautiful desert camp where you will enjoy Berber drum music and sleep under millions of stars.
