Your Itinerary

Day 1

Fes to Azrou to Ziz Valley to Merzouga

Your 5 Days tour from Fes to Marrakech starts as we head south, leaving the city behind. We will drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in the town of Ifrane, the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and taking a peaceful walk in the cedar forests of Azrou to meet the local macaque monkeys.

We continue through the beautiful Ziz Valley, admiring its millions of date palms, before arriving at the edge of the Sahara in Merzouga. Here, you will trade your vehicle for a camel, trekking across the Erg Chebbi dunes to witness a spectacular sunset before enjoying dinner and music at your desert camp.

Day 2

Merzouga Desert Exploration and Nomad Visit

Wake up for a magical desert sunrise. Today is fully dedicated to the Sahara! We will take a 4×4 ride around the dunes, visit local Berber nomad families in their traditional tents for a cup of mint tea, and discover the unique Gnawa music in Khamlia village.

You can also experience the thrill of ATV off-roading across the sand. In the evening, you will return to your comfortable camp for another night of stargazing and campfire stories under the vast desert sky.

Day 3

Merzouga to Todra Gorges to Dades Valley

After a final desert breakfast, we head toward the dramatic Todra Gorges. This massive river canyon features sheer, red rock walls that reach high into the sky—a dream for photographers and nature lovers.

We will enjoy a walk along the river, then continue our scenic journey along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. By late afternoon, we arrive in the Dades Valley, where you can relax, enjoy a hearty Moroccan dinner, and stay in a charming local hotel.

Day 4

Dades Valley to Ouarzazate to Ait Benhaddou

Today we travel through the cinematic landscapes of the Dades Valley. We will stop in Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” to see the famous film studios and learn about the movies filmed in the region.

Afterward, we visit the legendary Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. This UNESCO World Heritage site is famous for its preserved mud-brick architecture and its role in blockbuster films. You will spend the night in a cozy riad nearby, enjoying the quiet beauty of the desert landscape.

Day 5

Ait Benhaddou to High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech

On our final day, we embark on the most scenic stretch of the trip: the crossing of the High Atlas Mountains. We will wind our way through the Tizi n’Tichka pass, stopping at panoramic viewpoints to soak in the incredible mountain vistas.

As we descend the mountains, the landscape shifts from rocky peaks to the bustling, vibrant streets of Marrakech. We will drop you off at your accommodation, marking the end of your unforgettable five-day desert crossing.
