Day 1

Marrakech ➔ Ourika Valley ➔ Setti Fatma ➔ Marrakech

Our amazing day trip begins in the morning, when your private driver will collect you from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. We will then drive south out of the city, heading straight towards the imposing peaks of the High Atlas Mountains.

As we wind our way up the mountains, the landscape quickly changes from flat red plains to lush green valleys. Our first stop is a local women’s cooperative, where we will see how pure argan oil is traditionally extracted from nuts, a practice that is very famous and important in Moroccan culture.

We then continue our drive deeper into the beautiful Ourika Valley, passing many small Berber villages nestled into the steep mountainsides. By late morning, we will arrive at the famous village of Setti Fatma. Here, a friendly local mountain guide will meet us to lead us safely and excitingly up the rocky paths to the seven beautiful waterfalls hidden in the mountains. You can take amazing photos of the rushing water and enjoy the cool, shaded surroundings.

After your walk, you will return to the village for a wonderful lunch. Many colourful local restaurants set up tables and chairs right next to the flowing river and sometimes even in the shallow water. You can enjoy a hot, freshly prepared traditional tagine while listening to the sounds of nature. In the late afternoon, we will drive back down the mountains, dropping you off safely at your hotel in Marrakech in time for the early evening.
